A night out with the princesses

Our very own fairy godmother - my sister Erin - granted us a wish this weekend and took me and the girls to Disney Princesses on Ice. We had such a great time! The Disney ice show comes every year right around my birthday and for as long as I can remember I have wanted to go - so it really was a wish come true.

It was a sea of princesses as far as the eye could see and Ashley and Lauren loved every minute of it. If you know Lauren you will appreciate it when I tell you that she sat mesmerized throughout the entire show. And it was so much fun to hear her sing "A Whole New World" with Aladdin and Princess Jasmine. Ashley has not stopped talking about her princess "friends" since. We went out to dinner after the show and our princesses were the center of attention everywhere we went.

Thank you Erin! And thank you Jeremy for sacrificing and staying home to watch Macy.

Yeah for warmer weather!

After a snowy and frigid winter, we are finally starting to thaw out. My favorite thing about spring, along with the flowers and the sunshine, is finally GETTING OUT again. Even though I had a hard time with the heat in Arizona, I will admit that I found myself missing it as January rolled around and we continued to have snow storm after snow storm.

One Saturday afternoon in January after being inside all week long I decided no matter the weather we were going to get out and go to Cats & Cocoa up at the zoo. Luckily the weather cooperated and warmed up enough not to freeze our noses. We had so much fun.

On President's Day we decided to try the zoo again. This time with Jeremy's brother Craig and his wife Nekell. We brought along our own hot chocolate and the girls loved showing Craig and Nekell the white alligator.

Then last week we had a couple of great days where we got up to sixty degrees and we decided to head to the zoo again. This time with Nanna. We must have gone at just the right time because all the animals were out and about and very entertaining. The girls had so much fun with the leopard. When we came to his window he came down from the rocks and started pacing in front of us. The girls thought this was really cool and started screaming each time he would pass them and then they would laugh. They attracted a huge audience and the leopard stopped going in front of the whole window and only came in front of them. We could have stayed there all day! Luckily the train was open and lured us away.
