Husband of the year

Jer surprised me with a new camera and I was so happy I cried. It (the camera not me) takes the most amazing pictures. And now maybe I can actually get a picture of my girls looking at the camera and smiling at the same time!

A new adventure

I have been too excited for Ashley to embark on her new adventure and start school to feel sad about my little one growing up, but I have to admit I felt a twinge of panic as I dropped her off for her first day. Nothing quite prepares you for the moment you realize that she is growing up fast and that she will only be your little one for a blink of an eye.

We went out on a date the Saturday before school started and she picked out her own outfit for the first day. Had to have the headband and the purse to complete the outfit.

My girlfriend taught me how to cook a turkey, so we had Thanksgiving in June...


The girls got to be in a parade...

Still here!

Ahhhhhh! How does time fly so fast? I thought summer would bring with it relaxing mornings and lazy afternoons - if anything, summer has been busier than the school year. But we are managing to have a lot of fun. Hopefully I will have lots to post - actually, I know I will have lots to post, hopefully I will have time to post some of it soon. Just wanted to show off some pictures that Jer's cousin Annie took of our family. Happy July!

I'm a runner!

I spent years watching my parents run and thinking WHY?!!!! It just look like it hurt too much. Well...last year when I finally got serious about losing the baby weight I decided to try running. At first I just tried running through one whole song and I have to admit a year ago that was tough. But I have kept at it and I am proud to say that this past weekend I completed my first race - a 10K. It was awesome. Few things come close to the feeling of sprinting through the finish line, thinking I DID IT! I am grateful to my running partner who made training and running the race a fun thing. And now that I am addicted I can't wait to do it all over again!

Happy Birthday to me!

Jer took me and the girls to Disneyland for my birthday. We had such a good time and the girls loved every minute. Be sure to check out Ashley's face in the picture with Mickey Mouse. That look makes it all worth it!















Jer's cousin Nolan and his wife Heidi surprised me with a birthday cake at our hotel room later that night.

Spring Break

New pictures and a new heading...it's about time. We had a great trip to San Diego with some good friends. I'm already craving some beach time again.
